Location: The blue-glazed tile roofs of the parish of Jalón are visible from afar. Many visitors know the village thanks to its wine and weekly Saturday flea market. With a climate characterised by mild winters and pleasant (not too hot) summers, the landscape is made up of extensive vineyards and orange groves stretching along the mountain slopes.

The village lies in the northeastern province of Alicante in a large basin, the Jalón valley, between two mountain ranges. In recent years, a number of housing developments have emerged in addition to the old centre.

Since the whole village is surrounded by the mountains of “Serra del Ferrer” and “Penyo de la Mica”, this small community has had to adapt to the demanding environment of mountains and caves. Nevertheless, the village is very lively and hard-working. Modernity and ancient traditions coexist here in harmony.
